I am in pain or discomfort

If you are experiencing muscle pain, joint pain, numbness or tingling in your hands or feet, then massage is likely to improve how you are feeling. In this case either a craniosacral therapy treatment or a deep tissue massage may be the best choice.

Before the treatment we will discuss about the areas where you are experiencing discomfort as well as the reasons for it if known and any other relevant aspects such as when your discomfort first started.

I will then explain what I intend to do during the treatment and answer any questions you may have.

During the treatment I will focus on improving the areas of concern, which may sometimes mean that I treat an area that doesn’t seem directly related to your discomfort. This is because the cause of a muscular or joint problem can originate from a different part of the body. If at any point during the treatment you have any questions about what I am doing and why please do not hesitate to ask.

If opting for a deep tissue massage, I usually alternate pressure and tend to build up slowly to movements that are more intense. This is to let the muscles adapt to the pressure which lowers the natural resistance we all usually have to being pushed and pressed. For this same reason I also prefer to use slow, gentle movements. I believe that you will feel the benefits of such a massage over a longer period, even though the massage may not feel as vigorous as you may expect.

If you have any concerns, please get in touch and I will do my best to answer your questions.
