This is a slow, relaxing treatment which stretches and helps remake the fascia connecting the muscles as well as linking all the internal structures of the body.
Similar to Swedish massage, myofascial release can either be a full body treatment or there can be a focus on particular areas of the body. The massage is carried out directly on the skin without using oil. For this massage you will be lying on the table in your underpants and covered with towels.
Particularly useful for muscle pain and relaxation
Helps restore joint flexibility and posture
May help with sciatica, disc problems, neck pain, scoliosis, arthritis, carpel tunnel syndrome, sports injuries, fibromyalgia, jaw pain, frozen shoulder, etc.
This treatment is a good addition to Swedish massage.
Some movements may feel too deep for children, elderly or sensitive people; however, it is a generally well tolerated treatment when carried out gently.
